Fishnet Magazine is an escape for me. It's a world where I can go to forget about troubles or responsibilities or obligations. A world where others and I can go and explore for brief moments in time. Each theme meant to allow each artist to create their own world and challenge their own abilities. I want artists big and small to be able to exercise their minds and have fun with each issue. The first issue's theme 'nostalgia' emphasizes the importance this concept has on my own personal work. I've come to realize that creating photographs allows you to think a lot about the concept of time. How it moves forward, how it progresses, how it changes things, how images can freeze moments in it. Nostalgia has brought me a lot of joy, and a lot of pain. It's taught me how to preserve the beauty of a moment, and appreciate the present while it's happening.
